RIFF Premiere - Pendulous Chances - Háskólabíó at 20:00

Ragnar Bjarnason is Iceland's most beloved crooner, with a career of over 50 years under his belt. Pendulous Chances is a new film about this living legend and it will be premiered tonight in Háskólabíó at 20:00. The great man himself will be present to enchant the audience with his silky singing before the screening, and the director will take part in Q&A afterwards. Not to be missed!

The film, which is directed by Arni Sveinsson and co-directed by Eva Thorgeirsdottir, is a full length documentary examining Mr Bjarnason’s career and influence on the Icelandic music scene. After more than 50 years in the business, now at 75 he is ready to examine his career and allow us access to the idol Raggi Bjarna who is much loved by all ages.

Reykjavik International Film Festival (RIFF) was founded in 2004 by a group of film enthusiasts and professionals with the goal of creating an annual international film festival in Reykjavik.

The aim is to establish a major film event to enrich and enliven the local film culture, but moreover, to become an international attraction.

We believe that by building up an innovative film festival in Reykjavik, our foreign guests will have a unique opportunity to participate in an exciting cultural event, as well as visiting a country renowned for its natural wonders and dynamic culture.
