
In a post-Copenhagen world, the clash of Human versus Nature remains unresolved. Growing out of RIFF’s environmental World Changes section, this panel of filmmakers and experts propose historical, futurist and passionate views. The panel takes place in the Nordic House and begins at 16:15.
The participants come from all over the World and share a strong opininon on the current state of the Environment:
Peter Wintonick is a Canadian filmmaker, critic and film-thinker. Well known around the world as a documentary diplomat, he spreads the gospel according to reality through his films.
William Johansson and
Lars Edman, both from the town of Skelleftea in the north of Sweden, met at a film school in Valparaíso, Chile, in 2004. They've been working together since,and Toxic Playground is their first feature documentary.
There are filmmakers who tirelessly seek to highlight our common humanity. Filmmaker
Sylvie Van Brabant is among them. Her latest film, Earth Keepers, is in a way the culmination of her wholehearted concern for the health of individuals, societies and the environment.
Marc Wolfensberger er fæddur árið 1971 og starfar sem blaðamaður og kvikmyndaleikstjóri. Síðastliðin tíu ár hefur hann einkum skrifað fréttir frá fyrrverandi Sovétríkjum og Mið-Austurlöndum. Hann hefur einnig unnið í Suður-Kákasus, Mið-Asíu og Afganistan og rak fréttastofu Bloombergs í Teheran í þrjú ár. Árið 2006 stofnaði hann eigið framleiðslufyrirtæki og hefur síðan unnið með evrópskum sjónvarpsstöðvum eins og ARTE og Svissneska sjónvarpinu TSR/SF1.
